Sligachan bridge 2010

I took this pic last August. I had been there in October 06 but weather was

better this time ( this is the only place where rained during our 2 weeks

travell all along Scotland) Thankfully, stormy clouds look more dramatic

than a shiny bright blue sky!

Strange combination of sepia and natural color!

great tones and mood. very good photo.

The low cloud and mist adds drama to the composition and I must say it is quite typical of Scotland. Such a beautiful place to photograph, when the rain allows you to get your camera out. But it sounds like you were lucky with only one day having rain. I like the subject, perspective and composition but think you may have lost some detail in the brighter part of the sky. I think a ND grad would have been the solution here, but its always as well to check your histogram after every shot. It takes a while to get into that habit....and even now I sometimes forget. Lovely Image Marina.........makes me want to be there!

ALf, my next purchase to be is a NDgraded filter kit since I have no one and I think i need it so much when i'm in front of such landscapes! I shot with raw and can post-process later but it's not the same and neither can shot photos of blurred and misty rocky sea shores what I would enjoy enormously. Anyway thank you for the advice! ( and yes I want come back over and over there because Skye is my fave place of the world
