yosemite valley- may 2011 Merced Runoff From Happy Isles

Many times when your photographing in very scenic environments, you

can miss elements that become very obvious once you're home viewing

your work. For example, in this photo I missed the fact that in the

early morning light, this scene was very monotone and lacked color.It

would however, make a great B&W and I did convert several from this

area and posted as B&Ws. I also felt that with the Pixel Bender

filter, along with some pushes in saturation and vibrancy in

Photoshop, I could pull a color version. I have also posted the

original RAW for comparison.

Like a scene from a fairytale!  Truly quite marvelous; especially when contrasted with the original raw image.  This is quite moody with lots of drama.  I really like it a lot.  Perfect for the pixel bending technique, which you've mastered exceptionally well.  Cheers!

You took beauty and unveiled it's potential.

As beautiful as the original is, the lack of color makes my eyes unable to seach deep within it for little visual treasures, however, the color enhanced version makes my eyes dance with excitement as they uncover all the hidden treats.

Lovely enhancement!  Very natural, yet rich with hues and tones.
