Pnina,

This is one of those great images where everything is just right and all works together.  I could gaze at it for hours.

Regards, Tom

So similar, and still, they couldn't be more different.  Sometimes the id and superego get locked into a dance.  Neither wins, but the result is quite entertaining.  The light, purple and rose, is nice, combating the black and white quite well.

They look  like dancing some folk dance! There isn't an English word for that unfortunately...it's when many dancers are around holding each others hands or shoulders if you see what I mean! Kolo and oro are the words in Serbian! I want to say that it is not like most of your pictures in that regard and also the lighting colors are cold which isn't case on most of your pictures as I could remember!

Best regards Pnina!

Pnina, this is so good that I just don't see how  you could have done any better.  I like the way that the dancers are at the left of the frame, with the flowers held downward on that same side.  I am not sure why that works, but it does.  Perhaps it is good to have the light flowers to balance the light gown on the opposing dancer.

As for the lighting, it is very even, and I see the shadows below on the stage.  I love that the facial details are still visible in spite of the sources of light (or perhaps because of them).  The colors are subtle but rich and warm.

This one goes into my favorites.

I hope you are doing alright, Pnina.

Tom, for visiting and your nice comment.Jeff, it is a very nice  psycological interpretation, which  I renjoyed reading .

Pierre I don't speak the Serbian language but I understood your meaing, but it was not a folk dance, but a modern one ,and the light on the stage was good so is the light ion the dancers..;)) Thanks for your nice interpretation.

Ruud, always nice to see your comments on my work.

Lannie, I'm really glad that you liked it so much and wrote your impressions. I work hard on balancing the composition , thanks for writing about it , and  adding it to your collection. It is always an honor for me .Thank you very much.

Truly beautiful glimpse of this dance with colors, flowers, light providing mood of ceremony.  The quiet of the blue, the pretty violet -- the stage as if they dance upon the sunset, in step, ... the sharp contrasts of opposing black and white tamed and fluid

i luv female fairie-like dances, Pnina; they transport me to lala land ;-} elegant choreographic contrast of black and white, altho were i choreographing, i might have chosen lighting that put more emphasis on the dresses, the white flower bunch, and the black flower bunch. i'm sure it was a lovely dance. the shadows are nice, and i hope they were a huge element in the dance.  grazie for listening. dance luver dp

Pnina, sorry for being late. I admire your Black & White -The Flower dance, for idyllic quality of the image. The image appears to me like natural dualities- yin yang- in motion.

I have two granddaughters, so alike and so different. Both beautiful, both unique. That is what I see in this. It is absolutely gorgeous. Your lighting is perfect, your composition and balance are perfect, your timing is excelent. Amazing.

This is not only a beautiful contrast of opposites but to me it hints at the idea of balance attained through the existence of two extremes.  I like how the flower bouquet that each dancer holds is the opposite color, suggesting a symbolic dependency of the other.
