Matthew Brennan 3 Posted June 21, 2011 Recently returned home (to Australia) from a month long tour of the West Coast - USA and have been pleased with some of the images I was able to capture whilst traveling. This is one of the many gorgeous moss laden forests in the Colonel Bob Wilderness / Lake Quinault Area. The Olympic National Park is one of America's best kept secrets........... stp 6 Posted June 23, 2011 The colors and composition are quite nice. To my eye, the photo looks over-sharpened. The textures of the trail and the mosses seem to be too "gritty," especially where multiple, small lighted areas meet multiple, small dark areas. As a result, the image begins to look too stylized and more like a painting. I hope others will comment on this aspect, because I'm not sure of this observation. Link to comment
