jacob_lush 0 Posted March 6, 2003 The rule of thirds are working for you in every direction, from the placement of the woman, to the round hat, to the landscape. Such a sad face, who sailed away from her? Link to comment
photocitizen.com 0 Posted March 6, 2003 I like the off-center subject. I wish there was some more interesting lighting and maybe a smile on her face.I like the hat against the black clothing. Link to comment
robert gordon 0 Posted March 6, 2003 Alberto, Good image. Sad face actually makes the photo more interesting, but I sure hope the rest of her day was better. Bob Link to comment
eric_chamberlain 0 Posted March 6, 2003 Really a beautiful portrait. I like the subtle placement of the subject in front of the island point. Lovely, just lovely. Link to comment

Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted April 4, 2003 This is a scan of a colour slide taken 22 years ago. Since the colours were faded and a big fingerprint stained it heavily I ahd to work hard with photoshop to get this B&W version. What do you think of the result? Thanks in advance for any comments and ratings Link to comment
koval 0 Posted April 4, 2003 It could be opnly me .but there seem to be a strange halo around the lady. On the other hand it is a good portrait. Regards PK. Link to comment

test11664875106 0 Posted April 10, 2003 Alberto, overall I like this photo. Yet to my taste, you'd get more dramatic portrait if you'd move slightly so that the woman would be in left third of the frame while distant island would extend to the right from her. Another option could be for you to move just a little bit left and ask the woman to turn overall slightly clockwise (on your current photo this would correspond to facing you full-front) and turn her head slightly further so that her look is aimed at the left side of the island. Still, it's very nice portrait! Goot work! Link to comment
