Thanks, guys.  I put the mouse over the picture and depressed the left-click "button" while moving the mouse a bit to get the ghost image in the spot where I wanted it, then took a screen shot, which I posted.  Then I did the whole sequence again, deleting the posted version and doing a bit of photoshopping along the way to clean things up.  I did this several times until I had a string of smaller and smaller moons.

Hi Lannie,

I can appreciate your efforts in this production. If I could, I would give you another high rating for "effort", too !

By the way, this image got me thinking about which lens would be best suited to try to do the same type of image in analog form. The lens needs to have good to very good imaging characteristics, but at the same time, prone to internal reflections that appear at the Infinity focus on the image plane. Now, that is a challenge !

My first attempt will be to use one of my older zoom lens that do not have the improved coatings as found in many lens today. Another possibility is to use an older lens with a old teleconverter.

Now to find the lens and then have the scene to work with !

Best Regards,  Mike

Sounds interesting, Mike.  I'll be interested in seeing what you come up with.

They do look a bit like internal ghost images.

Thanks, Tom.  Surviving here.  And you?

As for brightness, I was surprised that I lost so much light on the screen captures.
