samrat 1 Posted June 14, 2011 Two men engrossed in a chat in front of the Palais des Papes (Palace of the Popes) in Avignon. Thank you for your comments, especially your views on the composition. Should I have included or completely excluded the bit window on the right? Need the door include the full arch? Link to comment
alfbailey 1 Posted June 15, 2011 Personally I like the composition, the window on the right should stay, as trying to crop that would inevitably mean losing some of the accordian which I think is an interesting if not vital element. As for the arch, yes I think that should remain complete too, the reason is that the architecture is enjoyable to view and it frames the LH person nicely. though there is some space above the arch that could be cropped to say the first horizontal line above the block stonework. I like the interaction and body language between the two both leaning slightly forward engrossed in conversation. Very well captured!Best RegardsAlf Link to comment
samrat 1 Posted June 24, 2011 Sorry about the time taken to respond to your comment. Thanks for the pointers. Though personally I did not feel there was any major harm done by clipping off a bit of the door frame, I wanted to know what others felt. Link to comment
