The interior of FUMC - Dallas. I struggled about what to do with the

color in this picture. Full strength colors tended to look weird.

There are mixed lighting sources and everything but the carpet is an

earth tone. I didn't wnat B&W because I thought that the red carpet

was a strong feature, so I settled on drained colors. Let me know what

you think, and not just about the colors.

This had to have been a tough shot. I notice you were going for a symmetrical look, but didn't quite achieve it. A look at the chandeliers will illustrate my point. The two in the center seem fine, but as you look to the sides, the one on the right is in frame, while the one on the left is chopped through the center. A simple re-cropping will help this, but you wont be perfectly symmetrical at the bottom of the frame, which you currently are. This is a result of using an extremely wide lens. The area of the photo to the edges and farther away gets distorted more than the rest. Things like buildings and people tend to exacerbate this effect. However, you really need a wide lens to capture the entire church. The only way around this (if it's even possible here) is to raise the camera, so the distortions are also symmetrical. I would guess 10 to 15 feet for this room. As you raise the camera tilt down, so the pews will still be in frame. It's a headache, and you'll lose some of the ceiling, but that's the only thing I can think of to improve this shot.

Hi Timothy

I love this photo, I would like to see more colour especially in the wood  and carpets, I think it would enhance the contrast in the photo.
