The light was too harsh along this trail, but I just had to try and do my

best to capture this scene.

This is a tough scene to work with, Deb. To get all the elements to fall where you want you have to be in a specific place. Unfortunately the tree growing out of the rock merges a bit with the background. If you hadn't wanted to include the contrails you could have gotten lower but here that doesn't help. A nice job in spite of the issues.

I like it too much!...The b&w tones,the view and the subject are nice.I hope to see the tree`s shadow in full details!Best regards(Bobby).

Oh!  I just saw that it was made at Palo Duro.  Long time no see--1986, I believe.  Gosh, I wasn't even old yet.
