John Peri 1,029 Posted June 10, 2011 Difficult to do largely against the light. Again, a style from another age, and no less pleasing because of that. Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted June 10, 2011 Maurizio - Thank you again, your comments always make me smile.John - Thank you! The backlighting was partially an accommodation to Jordana so she didn't have to look into or near the low sun. Fortunately, the long tonal scale of film allowed me to do this and not lose detail in either the highlights or shadows. This was made about 8:30 am.-Mark Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted January 14, 2012 The next entry in my review of 2011 photo sessions. This one was a chilly, but sunny, early June morning. Link to comment
wmc718 3 Posted January 15, 2012 Great shot of Jordana Mark! Where in the heck did you guys find grass and sand like that around here? Nice work! Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted January 15, 2012 Michael - Thanks, Jordana was a trooper that day. It was a little cool, about 50F, breezy but sunny, at least. The location is Gunnison Beach, the clothing optional beach at Sandy Hook.-Mark Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted January 16, 2012 Perhaps not too statuesque. However, that is just a word. It is the image that is important and this is fine. I like the movement in the hair. Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted January 16, 2012 David - Thank you and I'm pleased you like this image. The breeze that created the blowing hair, unfortunately made it feel even cooler then the 50F or so that was the air temperature. Apparent in other photographs is the effect this had on Jordana. I'm amazed what many models will do for our art.-Mark Link to comment
