Since this subject is parallel to the plane of best focus, a wider aperture setting would have resulted in a higher definition image.

The Tokina macro develops its best performance between F/4 and F/5.6  When the opportunity presents itself, the final image will be even sharper than what appears in this image by using a faster lens setting.

Two other positive aspects of using a faster lens setting are a  lower ISO and or higher shutter speed . This would assure the maximum performance capability of the lens , too.

Mike already mentioned some techical aspects, the motive could be a bit sharper.  But I also agree with him that you show us a very good start in macro photography. My first macro tries were way worse...

BTW, my understanding is that this Tokina lens displays the effective apperture in the camera data, meaning that if I shoot at 1:1 it will record the +2 stops that this creates, unlike other lenses which display the actual setting instead of effective aperture...
