fast asleep in a stacked trio formation

How do you keep finding 3 birds in different poses? Lovely picture.

Leann, that's a good question! I happened to photograph a lot of birds as, usually - when they are not up in the air - sit either fairly still or are asleep. In the latter case they can be approached rather easily. Then the lining up for the pucture taking is effectuated by my moving around. Thanks for your interest.
