lskalstad 0 Posted September 7, 2003 It was a cold and blustery day in late October, Len and Katrina both just 19 and homeless, Wait with a group of others in anticipation for a meal van to arrive in a small park in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I myself was barely out of homelessness living in a rooming house but with very limited means so I was there waiting for hot soup and sandwiches myself. I always loved photography and was able to procure an old beat up Pentax K-1000 from a Hock shop for just a couple of bucks given that I accepted a "no return clause", I accepted the risk and to my surprise the camera actually worked.I just happend to have the old pentax with me one day at the site loaded with regular Tri-X when I snapped this scene purly by instinct. To my surprise, the photo took first place in regional competition "KINSA" for black and white Link to comment
