Pierre, this version is much more convincing than the previous one. Lot to be seen, but to get a complete picture, one should read comments on the original version.

Great composition with interesting juxtaposition of elements. As someone else has mentioned - the red flower really works. Congratulations.

A marvelous concept and very well put together . The colours look brighter on the large view , the only down side is that it shows the dark outline round the dog . Not sure whether this was intended or not . Excellent piece of work never the less . Bill

My good friend Pierre,

You struck Gold with this composition.

Outstanding presentation.

As for a rating , a "10" should work.

Warmest Regards,  Mike

Wonderful work Pierre. Your artistic skills and great mind are always at work. The story of course is 'right on' but I often think that there is a Parallel that still exists today, and the fate of the 'Ancient Bride' does not only belong to the 'Ancients' but the 'Modern Day Bride Also'. We just use different means of transportation, and bathe more often!!!

Brilliant display, as always, congrats, Gail

Your mastery of the allegorical is without compare. This photograph is replete with symbols.

The bride is wearing a necklace made in part of a chain.  Is she chained to an unhealthy relationship, one without love?  One would think so given the dog standing guard between her and the knight elevated on the back of a horse, and looking away from her.  He seems altogether indifferent toward her, as if she was just an incidental in his life.

In turn, the rose appears to speak to her defiance, as an assertion of her being alive in spite of him.  And her eyes are fixed, looking straight ahead.

The lighting and mood of this photograph are remarkable.

My best always,

michael

PS I'm sorry it took me so long to offer this critique.  My life during the last few weeks has been quite difficult.

The obscured sunset's brightness imbues the image with delicious darkness.  The long shadows are a nice touch.  What is the pillar at right?  best, j
