Great title, LOL. A serious antique Linda, very interesting. Is this an HDR image? Regardless, I like it. I was wondering to myself how this would look in B&W and would it enhance or hinder the viewing pleasure. Take care.

Sincerely,

Holger

Beautiful editing on this one Linda. It reminds me of hdr and digital light painting.  Just stunning. Love the typewriter and collection of antiques around it. Well done!

most sincerely, Gail

Thank you everyone for visiting and commenting.

This isn’t HDR. This effect came from a single image processed with a Photoshop Plug-In called Topaz Adjust 4, that I am trying out. I have been experimenting with HDR, I purchased Photomatix, and have used that with bracketed images with decent results but I think I can get images that are equally as dynamic by doing it myself with layers. The Topaz offers more options and gives you more control (this is what I think now without having spent too much time with either) than Photomatix and you only need one image. The results can be interesting and dramatic, but I wonder where this automatic editing is going. I can take a photo that is not really that great, process it, and then it does look great, instanly. This takes away the challenge of getting the perfect shot in camera. It also takes away from any pride in doing my own editing.

Look at the rich tones and details and no to mention the antiquity of the old master writter... My Corona  A,S,D,F,J,K,L,;  that represents the first row and in that all can be just a stoke away...  Nice shot and like the contrast to boot... MJ

Terrific image - very well captured and presented. I look at this and marvel at the technology at that time and where it is now.  Wikileaks would have had trouble getting any secrets but that was also the age of micro-dots with huge amounts of capacity.  All the best. Rated 6.

Linda, This is a great effect!

I had the trial version of Topaz also and only found 1 filter in the whole collection that was useful but not enough to spend $50.00 on.
