drorbaldinger 0 Posted June 2, 2011 it's a wonderful image, mario. compositionally very carefully considered and it tells the story of the space.i appreciate this kind of space, without any unnecessary "decorations". architecturally, i also admire the architects' decision to bring all the air conditioning from the side walls and therefore be able to keep the floors' depth (in the bridges) as thin as possible. it makes for a well proportioned, clean space. mario2 0 Posted June 3, 2011 Thanks for your comment, analysing this space, always appreciated .The architect is Esteve Bonell and has some awards, this Clinic, was wining by Generalitat de Catalunya as the best building paid by public money, it costs 300.000.000 Euros, Over all maybe the element most attractive is this staircase, I love it, because isn’t a claustrophobic space and is very clean from the point of view of straight lines and it simplicity that combines black marble and the steps in white colour.I have other image like this without people, but at the end, I prefer this one because the silhouette leaving the stair and the other people at the mechanical stair contributes to energize and humanizing the building, when the interaction is completely necessary, giving us the scale of that space. In my web side “new architecture” you find other perspective about the same element.Have a nice weekend Link to comment
drorbaldinger 0 Posted June 3, 2011 i am sure this analysis is no news to you. perfect consideration of composition.in the usa there is a great confusion between hospitals and hotels in the sense that hospital lobbies are designed like hotel lobbies. i also prefer the clean, undecorated, "un-themed" spaces.i did finish photographing the library. it's on my website in "buildings" and in "interiors". hope you like them. mario2 0 Posted June 6, 2011 The hospitals nowadays changed a lot, because the architect finds to create spaces more comfortable, spaces when the people that visit or stay in will be/feel better. In Barcelona If we enter to some old hospital that topic is completely different I like the new ones, Other topic will be if the hospital is financed by private money means the luxury is a fact. This hospital is public, don’t have too much superfluous things, but as a constructive critic this huge hall is completely unnecessary the dimension are more or less 300 feet’s long x 50 feet’s wide with tree rectangular skylight of 20x20 feetand the urgency’s boxes are very little and an insufficient to embrace the people that needs help. Not always the thought necessities are covered; I suppose that there are too much interest’s involved. My image is not completely perfect if we have a look to the first white rectangle the line red isn’t touched the wall is very close, but not in the line. Under my little experience, is almost impossible to find A scenery when the perspective in all elements involved will be perfect only I find it, in a few occasions. I'm grateful and many thanks to expend your time doing this analysis to check is is perfect or not. I will have a look to your library images and will comment some of them, for sure.Have a nice day!
