dominiquedodge 0 Posted February 27, 2003 The colours are very evocative of the light dusting of snow and the warm colours of the grasses and barn walls work well together. It's all put together nicely with good composition and lighting. Well done. My only comment concerns the line of the roof ridge and the line of the top of the trees: I think it might have been better if the roof stood up more above the tree line (ie lower the camera position slightly). Still very nice. PS I wish I had one of these in my back yard! Link to comment
John Crowe 165 Posted March 1, 2003 Very nice! There are two elements that are bothering me. The tall blade of grass on the left and the bit of "junk" behind the fence on the right edge. Cropping it out takes too much space away though. I am not politically correct. I would have cut that blade of grass! Sorry! Link to comment
chris_conrad 0 Posted July 12, 2003 I disagree with the above--I think both the grass and the "junk" are ok. Sometimes that junk lying around really adds to the history and functionality of these barns. Very nice shot. I'd like to see it in B&W perhaps... cc Link to comment
chris_conrad 0 Posted July 12, 2003 Ok, I came back and added a B&W conversion--done very quickly in Photoshop 7 with Channel Mixer (Monochrome: 20% Red, 80% Green). I hope you don't mind. cc Link to comment
roger___3 0 Posted November 3, 2003 I have had this posted on photo.net for a while, but have never asked for a critique. I'm thinking of having a larger print made, and a few more opinions/ratings/comments would help with my decision. Thanks! Link to comment
s_d5 0 Posted November 3, 2003 After seeing the black and white, I can't decide which one I like better. Either way, print it! Good shot! SD Link to comment
