amalsircar 2 Posted May 31, 2011 Samrat, very good composition and colour-contrast. The reclining position of the pots enhances the beauty of the image. Link to comment
samrat 1 Posted May 31, 2011 Thank you. I have toned down the colours a bit and added little contrast. This is one of my few recent colour photos. Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted May 31, 2011 good color range. I think I would have croppod some off on both sides. Link to comment
samrat 1 Posted May 31, 2011 Thank you for your comment. It is indeed encouraging to get a positive comment on colour/tones from you...I'm sure you'll understand why. Regarding the cropping, I may consider cropping a bit from the right but am unsure of the left. I wonder if too much close cropping would make the subject cramped. Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted June 1, 2011 As I recall we had a difference of opinion on crop also on the photo "squeaky clean". Matter of taste. On this crop I took also a bit off the top. The two holes (in my mind) on the upper/right make good points to close off the top of the frame. In the crop I put other closure points: The seam in the floor lower/left and some lines on the left. Kind of in my mind keeps the photo from running off the page. Again, matter of taste. I kind of like tight crops. The photo also works in B&W. Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted June 3, 2011 looking a again at my crop, I think too tight on the right. Link to comment
samrat 1 Posted June 3, 2011 Agree. I think the crop could just about include the hole(s) on the concrete on the right. Link to comment
