gooseberry 0 Posted May 30, 2011 Having tried something similar recently, I do appreciate how difficult it is to capture the "decisive moment" -- I haven't succeeded in that just yet... Link to comment

tore 0 Posted May 30, 2011 Cool and creative, I'm impressed of how you manage to get the hair of that length to stay up in the air.Best regards Tore Link to comment
mike_palermiti 0 Posted May 30, 2011 Excellent image.I do not understand why so many PN imagers do not include the data as to the camera/lens and setting used to capture an image. It is so useful to many people, in many ways. No rating from me at this time.By the way, many film years ago, I did a similar shot using a Van de Graaf Generator to suspend the model's hair up in the air .I used a Nikon F camera with a 50mm F/2 Nikkor at F/5.6. The film was Tri-X Pan (ASA 400). One bounce flash and one fill flash was used. The exposure was 1/60 second. Regards, Mike Link to comment
andrzejp 6 Posted May 30, 2011 Radu, Tore, David, Ruud, Mike, Michael,Thank you very much for your visit. The hair is in the air purely by centrifugal force and inertia. Monika has absolutely perfect hair density and thickness for this to work. I never had such luck with other models. She is also very consistent with timing which makes it easier. I used 4 strobes for light. I used attached flash to trigger the strobes. Simple count 1,2,3 and click after one second or so delay. Amazingly it work 2 out of 4 times. Camera settings, lens and RAW format data are in the attached image. Link to comment
daveinwilton 0 Posted May 30, 2011 Excellent, excellent, excellent work, very impressed. Quite original presentation, I can not remember seeing a flip like this in a true lateral projection before. Very intriguing, thanks for sharing. I would love to place in my favorites as well, but unsure, that would be three, one would think I was just starting to collect just your work or something. As always, all my best regards...-Dave Link to comment
