GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted May 30, 2011 I wanted this rose to look like one I'd seen on Painted Fabric years ago when I was in Italy. It was in a little shop window attached to a Canvas Board. I am of course going from memory, I just remembered how much I wanted to buy it and bring it home to my Mother whom I knew would love it. Unfortunately I could not afford it, but the memory remains with me still. (Thankyou for dropping by, Gail) Link to comment
william_staniforth 0 Posted May 30, 2011 This reminds me of curtain material . I would have liked the rose itself to have less texture overlay . Just my opinion . Bill Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted May 30, 2011 That's okay Bill, it was a particular look from a memory I was going for, perhaps I'll do one on it's own just for you. ! Link to comment

color 3 Posted June 1, 2011 Really pretty image Gail. Well composed too. Nice work.I still think you'd be happy if you started working in Photoshop. For example I think it would make it easier to create the look of fabric in something like this.A funny thing happened a few minutes ago. One of my coworkers (yes I'm at work), looked like they were coming into my office. I imaged that I would tell them that I was commenting on the work of one of my friends. I think a lot of Photo.netters feel like you are their friend. Link to comment

ldavidson 4 Posted June 1, 2011 This is so charming Gail. It really has the look of vintage or antique fabric. I love the textures in the background. It is beautifully composed, the colours are wonderful. You are amazing, you manage to turn out wonderful creative work one after the other. You have such a creative mind. Have you ever tried painting on fabric? This would be gorgeous on silk. Best wishes, Linda Link to comment
