Yes, I really like it.  It certainly does call to mind a chiaroscuro painting.  It also leaves the viewer with questions - such as, why has she turned away from the reading?

I look forward to seeing more of the series.

A beautiful image...I really like the story this image communicates...nicely lit, wonderful combination of elements...very nice overall.
