Thanks for viewing/comments! The pond got about 6, 8 Avocet baby

chicks roaming around feeding themself but the parents always hang

around to guard the pond and chase off all other bird. Well, there are 2,3

Mallard flock and there's always an Avocet that follow each flock around

and on occasion the Avocet would attack the Mallard chicks. That's

when the mother comes in and ... bite.

As Cartier Bresson use to say about being in the key moment to capture the common things that become unique once in an image. The decisive moment.

Wonderful timing on this shot. Beautiful detail in the faces of all the birds, the little ones look so afraid, scurrying to find protection behind their Mother. Great Capture!!

What a great timing. This image is very pleasing in every aspect, technical and esthetically is just fantastic.

Best regards,

This is timing at it's best. It's so good it's rediculous. This picture is better than beer!... well, maybe not beer, but seriously just nasty good.

Thank you very much Folks! I have many images of Avocets attack the Ducks but seldom that the composition 'line up' like this one .. with the ducklings scurrying off, the mother Duck bite, the mud drops ...ect. The only regret that I have is that if I had the 1.4x TC II on it might be of better resolution. But, if I have to wish then I would wish for having either the 1.4x TC III or the 2X TC III  since they are both better than the 1.4X TC II  (I only have the 1.4X TC II at that time but I took it off when I took this shot).
