Taken late in the afternoon after a morning of ryan. Heavy clouds helped

set the mood and accentuate the Buttes. Shot in Raw with Nikon D300

and 17-55 f/2.8 lens. Edited in Silver Efex pro 2.

Nice image. Perhaps crop about the bottom 15 percent or so, to emphasize the buttes and sky rather than have them behind the relatively nondescript foreground.

Brad...  Excellent b/w work and the scene is as fascinating as each time I see these monoliths.  Either version is acceptable and although centered, I like the original with the patterned foreground and old creek/road(?) bed as interesting elements.   For a comment, the clouds appear over sharpened with noise introduced as a result.  I suspect the original image is superb and the noise is a result of posting preparation.  Regardless, a classic capture... Mike
