Great control and use of light.  I've done this before and you've captured the feeling perfectly:  viewed an active, bright, busy downtown core at night from a remote, quiet, dark place and marveled at the contrast of the two locations.  It's a finely crafted sense of being outside looking in.  Excellent work.
