That's the first comment and 7 I've seen from anon! That means this is a very special image. I love the combination of silver, blue and copper and the processing is impeccable. When I view the larger preview, the sharpening is approaching crunchy in the detail of the granite (I think it's granite). Very solid landscape Marc!

As I look at this I feel like I am being transported to a beautiful, enchanted place. Your skill really shines in this extrodinary photograph. This is by far my favorite shot of the day. 7

Thank you everyone for the kind words. This is an evening shot of Island Lake in Wyoming's Wind River Range, August of '10. It had rained and snowed on us for three days and this evening it cleared for about one hour, socked in again and remained dreary for another day before we awoke to utterly cloudless skies. So photographically speaking, this was just about the only interesting opportunity of the entire trip. It was still great to be there, especially since the cold drove away the hordes of mosquitoes one usually suffers in the Winds this time of year.
