ciofalo 0 Posted October 3, 2003 This would be a great composition if it were not for a couple of flaws: a) the disturbing tilted twig in the background; b) the lack of the tips of some of the leaves. Despite the warm tones of the autumn leaves, the background reveals a green-cyan dominant. Try to clone out the twig and to remove the dominant by adding some red or magenta in PS. The tips business is more irreparable, I am afraid, but maybe you have some of them in the original frame? Or perhaps it will be simpler to repeat the shot - Autumn has come! Link to comment
mattvardy 0 Posted January 11, 2004 Sumacs are a prime subject aren't they! I've taken many shots of them, theyre so fascinating. Anyway, I different composition may have worked a bit better, but this will do. I really like the colours, especially in the background. Link to comment

whaldener 0 Posted November 24, 2006 Hello Len, Thank you for your helpful suggestion, I really enjoyed the new version of my photo. By the way, congratulations too for your great photos of leaves, much better than mine. Cheers. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted November 25, 2006 Whaldener, You had to dig deep into my folders to come up with this one. I thank you for your efforts. Most would look at & comment on (if you're lucky) only the latest & most visible post. I like to dig a bit myself; that's where the gold usually is hidden. :-) Best, LM. Link to comment
bretsch 0 Posted September 21, 2007 Your camera and lens have been used superbly, DOF, composition, and the detailed textures on the leafs, and their colors are incredible. A tremendous picture, no doubt about it. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted September 22, 2007 Juan Carlos, Thanks for your thoughts. I appreciate also that you too had to dig deep into my folders to come up with this one. These are some of my favourite fall subjects probably for the interesting colour mix you allude to. Best, LM. Link to comment
vincenzo_corbo 0 Posted September 21, 2010 I like this shot. The colors of the fall are impressive and really well rendered here. It reminds me some shot of clothes clips but this is much better: really natural. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted September 21, 2010 Thanks for taking the time to toggle through my portfolio to dig out this oldie. Reminds me, it's time to start thinking about fall colours again. Best, LM. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted September 30, 2013 Thanks for your visit and your comment. The subject, though common, is a yearly pursuit for me and many other photographers. Best, LM. Link to comment
