Wonderful shapes, colors and even composition, although I think that this picture may be rotated as much as you want and would look great in all positions! Maybe it would give a slightly different mood! Bravo Christal!

Christal...  Soooo, whatcha' smokin' up there in Indiana? ;-)  Whimsical for sure and a very good abstract.  I classify "good" abstract as something that catches and holds my attention.  Excellent color and separation... Mike

Basically, I prefer 'real' shots, but sometimes the urge to 'play' is great!  I had fun with this one.  It was simply colorful thick blades of tall grass, bending in the wind.  I loved the shape, but the original was lackluster.  So voila!  Glad you like it too!  Yeah, Mike, a little wild for me!  :-)  Thanks, fellas!

Reminds me a little of some of mine - but I don't think I could do this! Very nice, Cristal. Keep experimenting!

This is one of the better abstracts I've seen on PN recently. I love both the color tones and the patterns. I've posted a new version of my covered bridge photo, somewhat based on your suggestions.
