lonebearimages 0 Posted May 22, 2011 I am surprised that I am your first visitor. This is a superb desert dune photograph. The composition, exposure, and color contrasts are quite well done. It is is minimalistic and quite fetching. Very nicely seen, captured, and processed. I might be very tempted to try this as a black and white image too. Cheers! Chris Link to comment

hstelljes 41 Posted May 23, 2011 It looks so simple, sky and sand but we know these can be the most difficult shots sometimes, well you aced it. It's perfect IMHO. I think your POV is what does it for me Hamid. The colors are rich and vibrant. Take care.Sincerely,Holger Link to comment
AlanKlein 2,904 Posted May 24, 2011 Hamid: Wonderful simple picture. I like the way the ripples circle around from the lighter center point at the sand horizon. Maybe it's my monitor, but the sky on the right appears too dark either from vignetting or misplacement of the grad filter. Were you using a polarizer? Also, what is that dark squiggly line running aroundin the sand at the bottom toward the left? Nice shot. Thanks for posting it. Alan Link to comment

hamidfarzandian 0 Posted May 24, 2011 I greatly appreciate your kind comments and critiques. So much thanks.Alan,Difference of light in the sky is simply due to position of sun at the left side just behind the hill, and i left it unchanched because that was natural and what my eyes witnessed. I did not use polarizer here, because i needed all of the light available to reach to max shutter speed ( this was handheld ), there was no displacement of ND grad . Irreguar lines at the field was naturally occuring and may be tracks of some desert dwelling creeping insects/animals, or something, and i intentionally left it untouched as these were completely natural and inherent to this scene. Thank you for your attention and nice comment. My best regards,Hamid. Link to comment
