Monsoon Palace, Udaipur

vishwa

Spot meter. This image is that of the Monsoon Palace near the city of Udaipur. The palace is quite dilapidated unfortunately. It does not share the same interest level from the star hotel chains in India as some of the other palaces in Rajasthan. It is on a hill and is a half hour drive from Udaipur, through a sanctuary. You will find some tourists but not too many. You get views of the Aravali range and get to experience fantastic evening light from here. Any comments are welcome. Thanks in advance.

I really like the red and blue contrast between the building and sky...but it seems to be a little too tightly cropped at the top. Overall, it's a great shot with a lot of interesting detail.

This is truly a talking picture. It speaks of age and experience. I think you have done a great job capturing the personality of this building by chosing the right time of the day to freeze the frame. Here is how i see the visual elements in the picture. I see two triangles, one blue in the upper right section and the other is red-brown in the lower left section. In the middle there is a cylinderical structure which cuts both the triangles. A well balanced shot.
