Yes, it looks like an old painting in the sense that it has been attacked by mold.  It's all over the face and on the wall.  I guess I'm saying I don't understand it.  The light is great, and I really like the expression on the young woman's face:  she's not at all intimidated by the camera, I'm not sure that she cares a whit about the camera -- she's confident and can take care of herself.  The lighting and expression would have made the image for me, before the brown spots came along.  I wish I understood.
