Alberto, i almost did not open this image because as a thumbnail your borders and frame drew more attention then the image. glad i did as the image itself is really simple and gorgeous. also went and read your bio and had a look at your portfolio. you really like the frames as every image in your portfolio has one around it. some images and i would even say most in the genre of flowers don't suit frames. your image here is a classic example of what am saying. this image is nice enough in itself that it needs no support or props, it stands very well on it's own. this is all of course just my opinion, you can totally discard it if you like, but would probably not hurt to at least give it some thought!

Beautiful image. I love the crispness of the flowers and the dew.  The gray background brings out and complement the fire red of the flowers perfectly.  I also like the tonal range you achieved.  Excellent image.  Regards - michel

Thank you, Roger, I accept your opinion and I'm glad you explained that!

I can only say that the frame is a sort of trademark of mine and I designed it specifically for Photo.net... Just a choice to be more visible, but I may agree that there are photos on which the frame suits better and others not.

Regards, Alberto.

Alberto, i had a good laugh at your comment that the "frame is sort of a trademark of mine". if you look at any of my images i'm just the opposite i always bleed my images right to the edge, regardless of how their being used canvas, tiles, cards or just whatever. the one exception and then very seldom is sometimes for a exhibition i use frames. maybe were both stuck in our ways and should look at each frame as a separate entity and decide on its individual merits. our  wee exchange here has most certainly provided me with food for thought. thank you for that!

all the best, roger
