This was a record year for snow in Yosemite and as a result the

waterways are filled with rushing water. This photograph was taken in

the early morning at Happy Isles down stream from Vernal and Nevada

Waterfalls. This is an HDR with some blending from an underexposure to

control the values in the water.

This is really a terrific capture! The water appears soft and silky and you have some great detail in the rocks and trees.  Tonal range seems to run the full gamet of tones. Good on you Leo!

An excellent image Leo! Superb blending work, a nice wide range of tones, and excellent detail! Definitely lots of water rolling through there. Spring run off hasn't even begun here in the Rockies yet.

All the best,
Neil

The blend in the water does the trick! Another excellent stream study with plenty of shadow detail and separation. Keeping the shadows open while retaining the water detail is a trick, but when it's done well like this, it reveals itself just as it was seen. Very fine Leo!!
