Outstanding portrait, very effective tone and the atmosphere is very unique, this is another remarkable addition to your aging series and very well post processed.

Thank you for sharing it my friend and wishing you all of the best.

This is a great portrait of life. Perfect in its expression, the tone clear and bright transmit security experiences, anyone who would take the hand of this man. Pierre Congratulations on your sensibility as an artist makes no exceptions.

Marvellous shot. Almost a double for George Bernard Shaw. Love the detail  and subtle tones. Congrats.

Just when I think I can't be any more dazzled by your work, you fool me by posting another amazing photograph !!!

The detail of this photograph is spot on.  One can see every wrinkle and crease in the subject's skin, and every strand of hair.  You chose a background that reinforces an impression of the subject's age and, more importantly, his wisdom.   His eyes are crystal clear and focused straight ahead, and his mouth appears resolute and strong.

Into my favorites this must go - - -

I like the atmosphere and the character of the model.

Two things that strike me as odd.

The first being the model's shoulders. Somehow I'm under the impression that the shoulder should be higher and wider. Is it "cropped" or extra blurred? (Hmmm... blurred? Did they have that shallow a depth of field in the 1900's? Wasn't it all F/64 and sharpness all over?)

The second is that with the borders as "time worn" as they are that I'd expect the part of the picture which shows the face would be time worn too.

But after all is said and done I like the picture.

All the best, Matthijs.

Matthijs, I accept your remarks as based on the facts, except maybe the last, IE the corners always suffer more because the pictures are in piles and it protects the middle part of them from humidity, dirt etc!

Thank you all for your support which means a lot to me and is most appreciated!
