Andrea, This is very intriguing. I like the closeness of the two faces and the two snakes with a few onlookers in the background. The tones are very rich. The light, particularly on the two faces is great and a bit haunting. The man/father doesn't seem very comforting and the girl/daughter seems uncomfortable. I can't help but think of Pentecostal snake handlers, which I find fascinating, but also discomforting at the same time.

Wonderful shot, Andrea...two snakes and two human face make the drama here...beautiful eyes of the child in contrast with the cover eyes with dark glasses...my best

Very scaring moment been so well captured here, the little girl holding the two snakes makes this image so powerful and do enhance its environment.

I also appreciate the use of the D2X, superb sharpness quality here, the b/w contrast and tone are also of very high quality too.

Thank you my friend for sharing it and wishing you all of the best.

Festa dei Serpari a Cocullo: bellissimo il cipiglio della bambina esaltato dalla fierezza di chi la porta sulle spalle! Ciao, Maurizio.

Not sure why but this one creeps me out but Tony's use of the word 'discomforting' comes to mind.  From the compressed look & the out of focus people in the background I suspect you used a long lens.  I would have used an even longer one. :-) From the tenseness apparent on the girl's forehead, I'm not so sure she's fully comfortable with these 'pets' either.   And I balked at giving my daughter a Kitten!  Best, LM.
