Would this be better as a sunrise, or a sunset? I think the bench

more or less marks it as a sunset, but it feels better to me as a

sunrise.

I don't know if this is a sunrise or a sunset.  Because of the relatively clear sky, I'd guess sunrise, but that's just a semi-educated guess.  So I don't know that it matters as much as good clouds in the sky and good light in the vicinity of the sun.  Regarding the bench, I can hardly see it and wouldn't have known to look if you hadn't mentioned it.  To me it's a very small and perhaps irrelevant element in this particular photo.

Stephen, thanks.  It feels like a sunrise, to me, too, but it is, in fact, a sunset.  Sunrises feel so much more optimistic, although visually they are just about the same.
