I do wonder why this photo was taken, who is the girl, and who is the photographer.  Jacqueline Roque was Picasso's second wife. First I thought the lady on the photo was her also, but she is obviously not.  And Picasso's picture is obviously not the original, it looks more like a poster. Why does the photo deserve to hang at Stedelijk? Beacuse of its documentary qualities, or because it's a piece of art itself? I cannot remember any explanation with the photo when I saw it at the Stedelijk Museum, but I really started to wonder after I came home. Maybe I have to write to the museum and ask.
