mike_palermiti 0 Posted May 8, 2011 Valentyn,This is an excellent image for the reasons already stated by others. However, I was curious about the figure that provided so much interest. So, by streching the dynamic range of your image , I found a very nice looking girl with a smile on her face. her right hand was open a bit (one finger extended) and her left hand was gripped.Of coarse, your presentation is the best for the mood it displays.Regards,Mike Link to comment

ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted October 2, 2013 I like the feeling of abandonment and decay. I like the girl standing in the midst of it, staring at some apparition in one of the windows. There's a tension to it. I like the whole mood created a lot.I don't care for the processing though. It seems pushed to the limit. I think it loses some of the decayed feeling Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted October 2, 2013 The lone figure against the crumbling abandoned structure has become a visual cliche and as such this particular take on the concept does nothing to stand out from the rest. A step to the right would have aligned the curvature of the women's head with the arch of the window frame thus making the shot feel more deliberate. I do like the fact that the photographer did not turn this into the cartoonish HDR that many people would have chosen. The wire running from the edge of the wall to the bare bulb is a nice element and hold my attention more than the women's silhouette. Link to comment
