Hi Janine, the flower is Pride of Madeira flower but it's in the shade and kind of obscure for this shot. I think there are more hummingbird around this year than I've seen for the last 3 years (since I started shooting hummingbird and pay attention to their call and hear/see them every where now - LOL!).

Using a 500mm F/4 super telephoto lens on a fast action bird is no easy task.

The details are intense with great color saturation and superb focus.

For technique and image, I rate it a "7".
