Very nice ryhming of forms...the legs and arms of the children and the odd leg-like object on the sand.  I also like the idea of not showing the entire bodies of the children and letting their body language communicate what they feel.  Are the children running because they fear that "Thing" on the beach?  Are they running for fear that they, too, may lose a limb, or their innocence as did some other creature in that same spot?  What exactly is the thing on the beach...part of a creature?  Or, merely a piece of driftwood but fraught with ominous symbolism?  The splayed hand of the child on the left communicates a desire to run away from the horrible scene...This image has plenty of possible stories.  Well seen and captured.
