yes, Maurizio, it is a topsy-turvy world - and that too, a work-in-progress... as the step ladder well symbolizes... the organizers of the exhibit seem to feel a 100% experience of Holland entails a 360 degrees view... i wonder if they disguise the air vent... a curiosity well presented

Compliments to both of you, the initial artist and the photographer. Sometimes these' illusions' occur after a too long visit in an Amsterdam Coffeeshop...:)

It's a small world we are living in, really. I never could dream of that two PN members, you and I would photograph similar photo of something lesser known scene, an interior decoration of a souvenir shop in Amsterdam. Hardly a landmark tourist attraction, no?

You were there on 1st March and uploaded this your photo on 1st May while I was in the same shop during my last visiting day there, on 1st April - and uploaded my version on 4th April in Travel category, as for critique only.

With these words I jst wanted to tell "what a coincidence indeed". You will see my capture here (click).

I'm just curious: did you ask for permission to shoot inside the shop? I did, and it was OK. You see I used 24mm wideangle on my version.

Hello Maurizio,

Living next to the Netherlands I always knew there was something strange about that country :-)  You captured that in a wonderful way.

I would only suggest to clone out the air-conditioning in the ceiling.

Best regards,
Ben

A funny, and interesting coincidence indeed, seeing yours and Markku's version of the same topsy turvy Dutch place, Mau. In the above photo the emphasis seems to be more on the 'topsy turvy'  and upside down aspect of this unusual scene... (seeing the doors on either side, 'anchoring' the overall photo) In Marku's version on the other hand, it seems initially more tricky to figure out the state of things presented in this store. Hope that you enjoyed your stay in Amsterdam..!
