I do like the background. What bugs me a little, is that the petals aren't white. Some flash, maybe..?

I love the warmth of this image. Here is another possibility only because of a previous comment (no claim that it is better).  Rated 6. I am not sure what is happening with the raters but the last two images I put up got the same rating you have now - maybe not enough people are rating.
