Great portrait...so much expression and character...you have really captured a special moment here.  I really like the B&W tones and textures...just great.  And nice job shooting into the shadow side of his face, yet maintaining sufficient detail.  The background is bright but does not overpower the image...nice job burning in the edges of the bright area.  Well done.
