dloringphotos 0 Posted April 28, 2011 Beautiful shot and lighting; however, the hard dark edge around the white petal is unfortunate. It seems like you over-processed the flower in some regard, but it would be a near perfect shot if you could dial back the processing so that the edge of the petals have a more natural (realistic) transition into the background. ArtLionse 0 Posted April 28, 2011 Thank you all for your comments :)David, there is absolutely no processing here, just the effect of the background halo onto the petal, that was done on purpose. Also, the transition comes from the lens being wide open (f/2.8) giving that specific bokeh. Thanks, Art Link to comment
thomas_turk 0 Posted July 4, 2013 Swinging the camera to the left so as not to cut off the left bud A little more of the open flower in focus. Moving positon of shooter not to get halo in the back of the open petal...would have made the shot more artistic. Link to comment
