Dave,  the blue in your sky brought back memories of 50 years ago.  was camping in the sonora desert and there i saw a sky with a very similar blue as to what you have here.  a suggestion would be to have a go at reducing the sky above image and see if that would not involve those two prickly ( what ever you call them ) in the frame a bit more.  i usually am not so fussed on mixing flora's with insects but the beating of those wee wings adds a bit of motion to your image and is more of a plus then a negative.  nice work!
