My complements on the model and how you addressed her. The lighting is perfect! Doesn't hurt that she's beautiful, and I really I like that you can see a little of her teeth. However, the Bierstadt background is really distracting.

This may be presented as an example of fine portraiture! The background great looking and the model (now) also! Seven all the way with utmost pleasure!

Warm regards Frederick!

I appreciate the comments...

Thanks Pierre, glad you like this version better...

And Casey, sorry you are distracted, the point was to juxtapose the modern digital portrait in contrast to the traditional master work...

BUT, back to art school with you... it's not a Bierstadt, though I can see why you thought is was...

Thanks again!

"it's not a Bierstadt..."  Dang :-)  And I majored in Art History.  Who is it?

Overall this is a fantastic portrait.  Its just that my eyes can't decide if they want to look at the model or the background.  I think it would be easier to look at if the background were less imposing. But still -- really well done!

I like this fine classic portrait,I feel however it could be improved by moving the sitter further from the background and add a little backlight to the figure to visually separate her from it which would soften it, and look less like she is stuck to it.

Well you did recognize the style and influence, so you get credit :)

It's a Moran 1899

I appreciate all the observations and comments...
