wmc718 3 Posted April 26, 2011 David, did you know that that poor girl forgot her head somewhere?! I would have liked it better with her head attached, or just cropped as a torso. But I know that you just can't help yourself, and that you have to go for the bizarre! :o) Nice shot though! Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 258 Posted April 27, 2011 Seven all the way for the perfect natural looking body, the candid pose and the originality of the way of hiding the face, it's usually done by cutting the picture!Warm regards David!PDE Link to comment
dwonders 0 Posted April 27, 2011 Certainly an attention-getter. While it's fun to play around, I confess I don't get the arbitrary headless bit and the vertical bisection/mirroring of one-half of the torso.Interesting image but I feel the raison d' etre is not there, that is, a concept. davidmccracken 2 Posted April 27, 2011 Michael, No! She has her head... it's just a very small one. I won't make any comments about it being the appropriate size for her brain. I did that with the title. Thanks for the look and comment.Spider, ?? Thanks!Pierre, It is good to experiment. I am glad you like it. Thanks a lot.Doug, The idea is that she is not headless. I can see why you think that. However, the clue is in the title. The mirroring of the torso is just an attempt for perfection. The most beautiful faces and bodies are the more symetrical ones. Thanks for giving me your thoughts. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 30, 2011 You've done something interesting here, and I'm not talking primarily about the thing with the head. It's this symmetry thing I've noticed going on in some of your more recent images, and the splitting/reversing is a clever manipulation in the name of that symmetry. All of us seek perfection in one form or another, don't we?I also like the b&w treatment, of course. davidmccracken 2 Posted May 1, 2011 I do like playing in this way with certain images. I have a funny feeling I may try some similar things in the future. Thanks a lot for the look and comment. Link to comment
