It's a rather cheap trick, do you really like it yourself..?!

why is it cheap, because you do not like it? You can offer sound critiques of a photo and perhaps the photographer will understand what you mean - but cheap is not helpful to anyone.

I personally do not think the desired effect was accomplished due to too much blur in Post Production (which is not cheap, IMHO). If the photographer had a larger diameter of sharpness and bosted the saturation a bit more, it would lend to the mini style he was looking for.

Looking at your gallery, I see that you have much to learn, including about education

The last months regularly efforts like the one above were shown in street. So, instead of an original effort one can call it a trick. And since the digital age all our tricks are cheap ones. Being a good photographer and sure about yourself, I'm just curious where your (wasp) frustration is coming from.
