Sometimes it's a great distraction, looking back through our photos,

remembering that day, and imagining just what twists we could put

on them, with a bit of imagination. (many thanks for taking a look,

Gail)

Your text with photo jogged some boat memories for me.  In fact, they are flooding in, so pretty effective posting!  Every memory of a boat I've been on -- canoes, kayaks, glass bottom boats (in the Red Sea), ferries, motor boats (going out to water ski), row boats on lazy afternoons in Indiana -- there's something about being on the water.  You might consider writing an illustrated book with text and photos.

Ah those lazy days days of summer!

There seems to be some very subtle treatment of this image Gail. Good effect that suits the image.

All my best,   Bill

Many elements so fitting to each other! Sometimes I say that the most valuable photos are the so called souvenir photos!

Warm regards Gail!

So much so far been said here and this fine capture do deserve it all, the lighting is superb and so the clarity and details, indeed the image print the feelings of adventure and so well connecting with its title.

Very nicely done image and a beautiful boat.  Perhaps this image elicits memories of adventures past for you but I see adventures to be experienced too.  Sail on!

Wonderful rememberence, Gail...very nice image too...beautifully composed with the verticle lines created by the ropes and diagonal placement of the boat... the boat created an illusion of speed to justify your adventure...my best

Unfortunately it is not MY BOAT...this is an image from my Wooden Boat Folder that I reworked because I love it and have always wanted to.  Perhaps one day I shall be so fortunate. thanks so much for your kind critique Patsy, best regards, GAil

I can see why this photograph would evoke some very meaningful memories.  The character of this lovely vessel is clearly evident.  Who wouldn't want to sail on her?

My best,

michael

No critique needed, except 7+. Excellent and well presented work. I like those kind floating framing, especially with this presentation...

A great artful composition and framing , with amazing handle of dynamic range and , at the same time, a nice contrast. Colors are well treated and masterful. I think it is an HDR work, isnt it? Bravo for this wonderful shot.

Hamid.

Ehhh Matey and an equally 'ARRHHHHH' to you also. Amidst doing a Family Presentaton Board (for Service), at least attempting, I've been trying to work on the odd photo...this one is from my Wooden Boat Show Folder.  I've always loved this shot of this boat, reminds me of  song 'Sail Away'....guess we'd all like to do that when on land we feel in the middle of a bit of a 'storm'...more so a swirling one of Activity of things that must be done, when the body is 'saying----just drop !'.

Will certainly have to concentrate on my photos and the coming Spring shots to keep my mind busy, actually will probably be more in tune with my Mom while I work on my 'flowers and such'. thanks for dropping by and for your words of encouragement. talk again soon, Gail
