don't get me wrong, I do think this is a nice shot, but I think it would be even better if that dead branch in the lower left wasn't in it.

Shot from near Knik River, just before the Palmer Flats, North of

Anchorage. (Pioneer Peak) No snow in Feb., this is not normal.

Is it my imagination or did the picture change. Didn't there used to be a dead branch in the lower left? This version without the branch is much better. Beautiful. Just tell me if I was hallucinating.

You are not hallucinating. I liked your suggestion and removed the log.

To improve this type of shot a gradient ND filter would have brought out the rich colors in the foreground nicely.
