Carolyn, being as you control the focal point, what really matters here is if it works for you. i like it, but with the gorgeous colors you have here i would probably like any focal point you chose. interesting work!

There are thousands of flower pictures on Photo.net.  Very few stand out. 

This one stands  out.  It is very creative and pleasing. 

For me this is a very strong picture, congratulations
